The Surf House was created to accommodate guests who are looking for a comfortable place to stay, logistically placed between the city of Cabarete and isolated beaches conducive for an extended stay getaway! Our property is spacious enough for groups, families, couples or singles.
The newly renovated estate is walking distance from the Atlantic ocean and amazing surf breaks. We offer a wide range of surf and touring experiences, whether you are looking for surfing high performance waves, private lessons, group lessons, or just having a great time in the Caribbean.
Our professional instructors are highly trained in water safety and awareness, wave etiquette, board positioning, and wave knowledge who will encourage and guide you through your surfing progression.

Jorge better known on the island as “El Pupi” is a freelance photographer for Eastern Surf Magazine and Rambler Surf Magazine. He is on the beach with us everyday serving you the freshest shots. Born and raised in Miami, El Pupi has been surfing and shooting in the Dominican Republic for 20 years. Jorge owns & runs The Search DR, he has assembled a network of highly trained professional instructors who will guide you through an informative process of learning how to surf or taking you to isolated spots for an unforgettable surf session. There’s no wave on the island The Search DR hasn’t surfed, shot or laid eyes on. If you are looking for isolated beaches, fun waves or just the casual surf safari he’s got you covered.
